Coaches are statistically the safest form of road transport – and that’s a fact
(Department for Transport road casualties Great Britain 2004.
But safety doesn't just happen. For a start, our coaches are:
- built to meet stringent UK and EU safety standards
- subject to tough annual inspections by the Department of Transport
- subject to unannounced spot checks either on the road or at the depot
In addition, before getting behind the wheel of a coach, a WebberBus driver must:
- hold a professional licence, obtained after thorough training and testing
- take part in our own ongoing training programme. We are currently embarking on a training programme that will bring all drivers up to NVQ level 2 standard and will be the first in the county to adopt this programme offered by GoSkills.
All our vehicles comply with the rigorous safety regulations set by the Department of Transport and are fitted with seat belts.
Our fleet of 16 - 68 seater coaches and minibuses are thoroughly checked every 6 to 8 weeks and maintained to the latest DoT regulations, and our drivers receive regular training. All drivers possess industry required qualifications.
Our coaches don't just get you there - they get you there safely. |
